2013 U.S. Open: Schedule, TV coverage and live streaming for Day 4

Serena Williams, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal will all take the court Thursday

Al Bello

Wednesday’s rain threw the draw into a bit of chaos at the 2013 U.S. Open, but the forecast is clear for Thursday and the matches are starting to look a little more exciting.

Serena Williams’ match scheduled for Day 3 was bumped to Thursday, so the defending champ will take on Galina Voskoboeva at about 1 p.m. ET on Arthur Ashe. Following Williams on Ashe will be seventh-seeded Roger Federer against Carlos Berlocq.

The other matches scheduled for the day session worth paying attention to will be Daniela Hantuchova against wünderkind Victoria Duval, No. 4 seed David Ferrer and No. 2 seed Victoria Azarenka in action at Louis Armstrong stadium and a host of unseeded American men and women (Jack Sock, Christina McHale, Bradley Klahn, Alison Riske) who already have wins under their belts.

In the evening session, No. 13 John Isner, the top-ranked American, will face crafty Frenchman Gael Monfils no earlier than 5:30 p.m. in Armstrong. Isner looked absolutely dominant in the first round and has had a terrific summer, but Monfils is both entertaining and experienced. That will be a must-watch for tennis fans.

On Arthur Ashe starting at 7 p.m., No. 6 Caroline Wozniacki will face Chanelle Scheepers, followed by No. 2 Rafael Nadal against Brazilian Rogerio Dutra Silva.

Wednesday’s television coverage will begin on Tennis Channel at 11 a.m. and continue until 7 p.m. ESPN2 will begin its broadcast at 1 p.m. with coverage finally wrapping up at 11 p.m. In addition to the television coverage, there will be extensive online streaming available from WatchESPN and U.S. Open Live. Radio coverage will be available from U.S. Open.org Radio, beginning at 11 a.m.

The complete match schedule can be found at USOpen.org.
