Australian Open 2014 schedule and TV coverage for Monday’s matches

Rafael Nadal and Victoria Azarenka will both be in action on Monday in the Round of 16 at the Australian Open.

We’re halfway through the fourth round at the 2014 Australian Open and there’s plenty of action to look forward to. Monday’s matches will get underway bright and early, which means that, for those of you watching in the United States, the matches will begin on Sunday night.

Men’s No. 1 seed Rafael Nadal will be in action on Monday, taking on No. 16 seed Kei Nishikori. This is where things get tough and the matchups start getting closer for the top seeds, but Nadal shouldn’t have much trouble getting past Nishikori. Nadal seems to have a tougher path to the finals than No. 2 Novak Djokovic, however.

Also in action for the men will be No. 4 Andy Murray, who will be taking on unseeded Stephane Robert. The closest matchup should be No. 6 Roger Federer against No. 10 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. For the women, No. 2 Victoria Azarenka will be taking on No. 13 Sloane Stephens in an anticipated matchup, while No. 5 Agnieszka Radwanska will take on unseeded Garbine Muguruza.

Television coverage will begin at 9 p.m. ET and run through 2 a.m. on ESPN2. After an hour break, the coverage will pick up at 3 a.m. and run through 6:30 a.m. The Tennis Channel will also carry coverage, from 7 p.m. through 9 p.m. There's also live streaming from the Australian Open website here, if you qualify.
