Two years have passed since Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal played a grueling six-hour final to decide the 2012 Australian Open men’s championship, and now the pair will try to replicate history at Melbourne Park.
Australian Open Draw 2014: Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal set to recreate thriller
The Australian Open is set to start at Melbourne Park, and two of the top seeds could replicate their stunning 2012 match.

Nadal will likely get a mixed reaction when he takes the court in the first round. The perennial crowd favorite faces Gold Coast-raised Bernard Tomic, and the Australian will garner plenty of support from the local crowd. They met in the third round of the Australian Open in 2011, with Nadal winning in straight sets.
It’s a similar case in the women’s draw with No. 1 seed Serena Williams facing Australian teenager Ashleigh Barton, who has been eliminated in the first round in each of the last two Australian opens.
