The 2014 French Open officially began on Sunday with the start of the first round. Early round action will continue throughout the week, narrowing the field down to 16 by the end of play on Sunday. There will be extensive coverage from Roland Garros all week, with three networks combining to provide more than 400 hours of coverage throughout the tournament.

The French Open is underway at Roland Garros and viewers will have multiple options to watch live, including online streams.
Matthias Hangst
The stars will be out in force during early round action. Serena Williams, the No. 1 seed on the women’s singles side, cruised through her first-round matchup on Sunday. While she is the favorite, there are a few strong contenders, including Simona Halep. The No. 4 seed had plenty of success during the second half of the 2013 season and could be a strong contender to finally break through in a Grand Slam event.
French Open
On the men’s side of the draw, all eyes will be on Rafael Nadal as he attempts to continue his dominance on clay. The eight-time French Open champion is the No. 1 seed. He hasn’t been as good on clay recently as he was early in his career, but is still playing very well.
ESPN2, Tennis Channel and NBC will combine on television coverage with all three networks also offering online streams of their coverage. ESPN2 will handle the weekday morning broadcast with additional coverage, including dedicated court streams, available on ESPN3. NBC and NBCSports.com will have coverage on Monday and the weekend while Tennis Channel will have daily coverage throughout the week.
