How to watch Wimbledon 2014: Week 2 matches

The second week of the Fortnight commences with some unfinished business from a rainy third round, and ESPN has all of it.

Steve Bardens

After a quiet Sunday, the second week of Wimbledon starts Monday at the All England Club with coverage at 7 a.m. ET on ESPN. It will be joined by the rest of the family of networks an hour later. As always, you’ll be able to stream the proceedings online at ESPN3.

The Tennis Channel will continue their evening recap show, Wimbledon Primetime, with expanded four-hour editions on Saturday and Sunday following the Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s finals. Each episode starts at 4 p.m. every night of the tournament.

The official Wimbledon website will also offer live video and radio.

While Stan Wawrinka is yet to punch his ticket to the fourth round, the Gentlemen’s side of the draw has only seen peripheral contenders like Tomas Berdych fail to make it to the second week. The top four seeds -- Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer -- found their way there without much of a sweat being broken. Things will likely heat up in the Round of 16, especially if Wawrinka and American John Isner both make it through their third-round matches. If they do, they’ll slug it out in what should be an explosive contest filled with booming serves and strong shots from both sides.

With the top two seeds in the Ladies’ bracket -- USA’s Serena Williams and China’s Li Na -- losing on consecutive days, there is no clear-cut favorite left. Fifth-seeded Maria Sharapova has played well and is coming off of a French Open victory, but she must make it past a series of ranked opponents just to make it out of her draw. Simona Halep is the highest seed left at No. 3, but she has never even made a Grand Slam final before this year at Roland Garros, while fourth seed Agnieszka Radwańska has only made one.

Here’s the full viewing schedule for the second week (all times Eastern).
