It will be a battle of No. 1 vs. No. 2 in the men’s final at the French Open on Sunday with No. 1 Rafael Nadal taking on No. 2 Novak Djokovic. Both have been impressive leading up to the men’s final, with Nadal playing for his ninth French Open title and fifth straight. If Djokovic is able to break Nadal’s streak, he would claim his first French Open title and complete the career grand slam.
French Open 2014: TV schedule and matches for Sunday at Roland Garros
The men’s French Open has arrived with Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic set to meet in what has the makings of a classic match.

Nadal has been his usual dominant self on the Roland Garros clay, dropping only one set in six matches. He’s only lost more than three games in a set three times. Nadal knocked off No. 7 Andy Murray in the semifinals in straight sets. Djokovic hasn’t been quite as dominant -- needing four sets in three matches -- but has still played very well. He beat Ernests Gulbis 6-3, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 in the semifinals.
The match will be the 42nd meeting between the two, including the second in the French Open final. Nadal defeated Djokovic in the 2012 final, and the two played a classic semifinal match last year with Nadal eventually prevailing in five sets.
NBC will broadcast the match live with coverage scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. ET. The men’s final will be the second match on center court, following the women’s doubles final. In addition to the live television broadcast, viewers will also be able to watch live online via a simulcast stream from NBC LiveExtra.
