U.S. Open 2014: Schedule, TV coverage and live streaming for Day 3

Maria Sharapova, Venus Williams and Stan Wawrinka have second-round matches on Wednesday in Flushing Meadows.

The third day of the U.S. Open gets underway on Wednesday, highlighted by Maria Sharapova and Stan Wawrinka playing second-round matches at Arthur Ashe Stadium. No. 5 seeded Sharapova takes on unseeded Romanian Alexandra Dulgheru in her Round 2 match in the afternoon, while men’s No. 3 seed Wawrinka battles Thomaz Bellucci of Brazil under the lights.

Wednesday’s matches begin at 11 a.m. ET, and among the early matches to watch are women’s No. 2 seed Simona Halep taking on Jana Cepelova at Louis Armstrong Stadium, and the No. 1 men’s doubles team of Bob and Mike Bryan batting Max Mirnyi and Mikhail Youhzny on Court 17.

Wawrinka vs. Bellucci is the final scheduled match on Wednesday night at Arthur Ashe Stadium, but the nighttime action gets underway at 7 p.m. with No. 19 Venus Williams, a two-time U.S. Open champion playing her second-round match against Timea Bacsinszky.

Television coverage runs on Tennis Channel from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the final five hours focused on Grandstand, Court 17, Court 5, Court 11 and/or Court 13 only. ESPN also has television coverage from 1-6 p.m., continuing from 6-11 p.m. on ESPN2.
