French Open 2015: TV schedule and matches for Day 3 at Roland Garros

Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams will be in action on Tuesday, but all eyes will be on Rafael Nadal as he goes for his 10th title at Roland Garros.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The 2015 French Open is in full swing and Tuesday will feature the top seeds for both the men and women’s brackets in first round action. Novak Djokovic, the top seed on the men’s side, will be taking on Jarkko Nieminen as the third match on Philippe Chatrier Court. Serena Williams, the top seed for the women, will face Andrea Hlavackova on the same court once Djokovic’s match concludes.

But before either of them see the court, all eyes will be on Rafael Nadal, the nine-time French Open champion and No. 6 seed this year. Nadal, despite struggling in recent months and his relatively low seeding, is clearly the man to beat when it comes to the clay at Roland Garros. He’s at his most comfortable there, and he’ll be facing Quentin Halys on Philippe-Chatrier Court, just after women’s No. 4 seed Petra Kvitova takes on Marina Erakovic.

Action on that court gets underway at 5 a.m. ET. That’s the same start for the rest of the courts, with a similarly stacked group set to play on Suzanne-Lenglen Court. The first match on that court will feature men’s No. 7 seed David Ferrer taking on Lukas Lacko, followed by women’s No. 5 Caroline Wozniacki, who will battle Karin Knapp. Men’s No. 20 seed Richard Gasquet, one of the best hopes for a Frenchman to win the tournament, will then play Germain Gigounon and women’s No. 6 seed Eugenie Bouchard will face Kristina Mladenovic to wrap things up.

Television coverage of the day’s action will begin at 5 a.m. on ESPN2, and will run through 10 a.m. There, the Tennis Channel will pick it up and run through 3:30 p.m. Live streaming options are available at WatchESPN, and via the Tennis Channel’s official site.
