French Open 2015: TV schedule and matches for Day 5 at Roland Garros

Day 5 features stars Rafeal Nadal, Serena Williams and more.

Susan Mullane-USA TODAY Sports

Thursday marks the fifth day of the 2015 French Open at Roland Garros, with many of the biggest stars in tennis, including Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic taking the court.

No. 5 ranked Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark and Julia Goerges of Germany will kick off the proceedings at Philippe-Chatrier Court at 7 a.m. ET. Wozniacki, who toppled Karin Knapp in Round 1, holds a 4-3 advantage in the head-to-head series with Goerges. Goerges comes off a three set victory over CoCo Vandeweghe. It promises to be one of the highlights of the day at Roland Garros.

On the men’s side, No. 6 ranked Rafeal Nadal is set to take on fellow Spaniard Nicolas Almagro. Nadal comes in heavily favored, but the nine-time champion has voiced displeasure with his performance in Round 1. Almagro defeated Nadal in Barcelona last year, adding to the drama.

Over at Suzanne-Lenglen Court, No. 1 ranked Serena Williams faces Anna-Lena Friedsam of Germany. Williams comes off a dominating two-set win over Andrea Hlavackova. She has never previously played Friedsam head to head, which makes the match more intriguing.

Below are some of the important matchups, with a full schedule available at the Roland Garros website.
