US Open 2015: Bracket, results and schedule for men’s draw

Novak Djokovic added a third Grand Slam title to his remarkable 2015 resume, taking down Roger Federer in a spectacular men’s US Open final.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Novak Djokovic defeated Roger Federer in a tense, delirious late-night men’s final to cap the 2015 US Open in fitting form. The Grand Slam title was Djokovic’s third in 2015, marking the second time in his career that he has won three in a calendar year. Only Federer has accomplished the feat more often, having done it three times in his career.

Federer, the No. 2 seed, should keep his head held high. He did not lose a single set in the tournament until Sunday's final, and he put up and incredible fight by clawing back from a 5-2 deficit in the fourth set, forcing Djokovic to fend off three break points to win the final, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4.

Djokovic was dominant this year, taking home his fifth Australian Open title and third Wimbledon title prior to the final Grand Slam of the year in New York. Djokovic also made it to the final of the French Open, but he finished as the runner-up when he fell to Stan Wawrinka.

Wawrinka made it to the semifinal round, losing to Federer. Last year’s champion, Marin Cilic, was dispatched in the semifinal round in three sets by Djokovic to set up the brilliant showdown between the tournament’s top two seeds.

Those hoping to see Andy Murray advance far at the US Open were disappointed last Monday night when the two-time grand slam champion fell to No. 15 Kevin Anderson in the round of 16. The showing was Murray’s worst in a grand slam tournament since 2010.

Below, we have the full bracket, schedule and results for the men’s singles bracket.
