US Open 2015: Schedule, TV coverage and live streaming for Day 11

Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

Serena Williams puts her 33-match grand slam tournament winning streak on the line on Thursday in the semifinal round of the 2015 US Open, trying to move one step closer to the first grand slam in a calendar year since 1988.

Williams, the No. 1 seed and winner of the last four grand slam tournaments, will face unseeded Roberta Vinci in the semifinal, looking to advance to her fifth straight US Open final. Williams, a six-time champion at Flushing Meadows, has won the tournament in each of the last three years.

This is the farthest Vinci has advanced in any grand slam tournament, surpassing her two trips to the quarterfinals of the US Open in 2012 and 2013. The 32-year-old Italian hasn’t technically faced a ranked opponent yet in this year’s tournament, defeating No. 25 Eugenie Bouchard in a walkover in the fourth round after Bouchard suffered a head injury in a locker room fall.

Williams vs. Vinci is the first women’s semifinal of Thursday, and will be televised by ESPN beginning at 7 p.m. ET, with streaming available online via WatchESPN.

The second semifinal match at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Thursday features No. 2 Simona Halep facing off against No. 26 Flavia Pennetta, who knocked off No. 5 Petra Kvitova on Wednesday.

Halep, like Williams, has dropped two sets all tournament so far.
