US Open 2016: Schedule, TV coverage and live streaming for Day 3

Djokovic, Nadal and Kerber will all be in second-round action at the US Open on Wednesday.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The second round of the 2016 US Open is set to get underway on Wednesday. The day will include Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Angelique Kerber all in action after they advanced past their opening-round opponents on Monday.

Play on Wednesday will begin bright and early at 11 a.m. ET on all courts. Television coverage will begin at 1 p.m. on ESPN and will run through 6 p.m. At that point, ESPN2 will pick up coverage of the tournament and run through 11 p.m. The night matches begin at 7 p.m. and that’s when you’ll see Nadal and Muguruza play from Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Djokovic was pushed to four sets in his opener, and he’s hoping to spend less time on the court when he faces Jiri Vesely on Wednesday. That match will be the third played on the main court, following a match between Petra Kvitova, the women’s 14th seed, and Cagla Buyukakcay as well as a match between No. 9 Svetlana Kuznetsova and Caroline Wozniacki.

Muguruza will take on Anastasija Sevastova in the first night match on the main court, while Nadal and Andreas Seppi will face off after that. Muguruza is definitely one to watch as she won the French Open earlier in the year and is one of three women who can claim the No. 1 ranking from Serena Williams if things break her way in the tournament.

Kerber is another one of those women, and she will be taking on Mirjana Lucic-Baroni in the third match from Louis Armstrong Stadium on Wednesday.

Other top-seeded men in action include No. 5 Milos Raonic (vs. Ryan Harrison), No. 7 Marin Cilic (vs. Sergiy Stakhovsky), No. 9 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (vs. James Duckworth) and No. 10 Gaël Monfils (vs. Jan Satral). Roberta Vinci and American Madison Keys are other top-ranked women in action on the day. Vinci, the seventh seed, will face Christina McHale. Keys, the eighth seed, will face unseeded Kayla Day.

For those who won’t be watching on television, there will be live streams of all courts available via WatchESPN. Below is a list of singles matches featuring seeded opponents and all the information you need to watch the US Open on Wednesday.
