The 2017 French Open will get underway proper on Sunday, with first-round play from the men’s and women’s singles brackets. Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray and Dominic Thiem are primarily favored on the men’s side. For the women, Angelique Kerber, Simona Halep and defending champion Garbine Muguruza are the ones to watch.

Of those, Thiem and Kerber will be in action on the opening day. Play begins at 11 a.m. local time in Paris, France, while in the United States things will get underway at 5 a.m. ET. The Tennis Channel will begin coverage at that time, with NBC running coverage from 12 p.m. through 3 p.m.

Online streaming for the day is easily accessible via NBC Sports. That works in a web browser or in various NBC Sports apps on connected smart devices.

Kerber is the top seed in the tournament after winning two Grand Slam titles in 2016. She has never made it past the quarterfinals of the French Open, however, last making it that far in 2012. She owns Grand Slam wins at the Australian Open and US Open, and has been on the losing end of a Wimbledon finals loss.

Thiem has never been beyond the semifinals of a Grand Slam, making it that far in the French Open in 2016. In other tournaments, he’s only made it as far as the fourth round, and for Wimbledon, has never made it past the second round. Still, he’s a favorite pick among experts to pick it up and put it all together in 2017.

Below is all you need to know to watch play at Roland Garros on Sunday, as well as list of the pertinent singles matches containing seeded competition.
