The second round of the French Open is set to get underway on Wednesday, and both defending champions will be playing. That’s Novak Djokovic for the men and Garbine Muguruza for the women.

Play on Wednesday begins at 11 a.m. local time, which translates to 5 a.m. ET. Television coverage for the entire second round will be carried by the Tennis Channel, beginning at 5 a.m. and running through 3 p.m.

An online stream will be available via NBC Sports as usual, with action from multiple courts at Roland Garros.

Djokovic made it through his opener without issue and will face Joao Sousa in the second round. Despite being the second seed with Andy Murray as the top seed, neither has been a real favorite to win this year’s French Open, with most experts picking Rafael Nadal to win it all.

Nadal, the fourth seed, will be taking on Robin Haase on Wednesday. Milos Raonic, the fifth seed, has a tough outing versus Rogerio Dutra Silva, while popular sleeper pick Dominic Thiem, the sixth seed, will face Simone Bolelli.

Muguruza’s bid got stronger when top seed Angelique Kerber was eliminated in the first round. She will be facing Anett Kontaveit on Wednesday. Her top competition for this year’s title is probably Simona Halep, the second seed, who has yet to win a Grand Slam but who has played some of the best tennis of her career recently. Halep won her opening-round match on Tuesday.

Venus Williams will also be in action for the women. She’s the 10th seed and will face Kurumi Nara in her second-round match. Venus’ sister, Serena Williams, is not taking part in the tournament this year due to her pregnancy.

Below is all you need to know to watch the action on Wednesday, and below that is a list of pertinent seeded singles matches.
