Spartak Moscow vs. Celtic: Lineups

Spartak has been forced to make several major lineup changes due to injury

Neil Lennon and Celtic will look for a rare Champions League away victory as they travel to the Luzhniki Stadium to face Spartak Moscow.

Spartak nearly pulled off a shock win over Barcelona on the first match day, but they’ll have to overcome Celic missing four regular first choice players. The biggest blow is the loss of Romulo to a knee injury. The young Brazilian forward was the man of the match against Barca. Fellow Brazilian Ari will take his place. Andriy Dykan’s shoulder forces Sergei Pesyakov to replace him in goal, while defender and team captain Sergei Parshivlyuk is out as well.

Celtic will have virtually the same lineup from their victory over Motherwell on the weekend. The only change is the return of Georgios Samaras, replacing James Forrest.

Spartak Moscow (4-4-2): Sergei Pesyakov, Juan Insaurralde, Nicolás Pareja, Evgeni Makeev; Rafael Carioca, Aiden McGeady, Demy De Zeeuw, Kim Källström, Dmitri Kombarov; Ari, Emmanuel Emenike.

Celtic (4-4-2): Frase Forster; Emilio Izaguirre, Efe Ambrose, Kelvin Wilson, Charlie Mulgrew; Mikael Lustig, Scott Brown, Kris Commons, Victor Wanyams; Georgios Samaras, Gary Hooper.
