That bodes pretty well for the Germans, but Montpellier had a pretty good run against Group B favourites Arsenal and can't be completely cancelled out for this match at the Veltins-Arena. And although Schalke managed to dispatch Olympiacos in Greece, their domestic form has been patchy -- their most recent excursion was a 2-2 draw against Fortuna Dusseldorf, which wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't involved throwing away an early two-goal lead.
