UFC 183 Video: Anderson Silva says ‘my teaching is my legacy’
Phoenix Carnevale talks to UFC 183’s Anderson Silva before his UFC 183 return against Nick Diaz. Silva says that he hopes to teach a future champion and with Chris Weidman as champ, teaching is his legacy.

Silva reveals that, “my teaching is my legacy. I want to teach someone (who says) ‘one day I will be champion.’ Chris Weidman is the new champion. This is my legacy.”
Silva lost two consecutive bouts to Chris Weidman in 2013. First losing his title via knock out after Weidman caught him showboating and then snapping his own shin bone against Weidman in the rematch. Since then he has been rehabbing the injured leg and training for his comeback. During his rehab he signed a new, much expanded contract with the UFC. Silva will be 40 years old in April.
He has gone back and forth with whether or not he will challenge Weidman for the middleweight title a third time but Dana White has promised him the shot if he beats Diaz.
