Leaked Chivas USA shirt is pretty freaking awesome

Chivas USA has gotten a lot of bad press this offseason with their stated desire to bring in more Hispanic players, but their new black shirt and repurposing of the Los Angeles city seal are a stroke of genius.

It seems like Chivas USA has been on the wrong end of most of the news circulating around them this offseason, but assuming images of their new secondary shirt are legit, that should be slowed today. In a word, the new shirts are "stellar."

Sure, call it a knock-off of D.C. United, but these are really classy. What really makes these a virtual must-have for any shirt collector is the image on the back of the neck. Basically, it's a slightly reworked version of the Los Angeles city seal with the words "Rebano Angelino" over the top. Loosely translated, that's the "Los Angeles Herd," which should be self-explanatory for a team named after goats. That logo will apparently only be available on this year's official shirts.

I’m not sure about the legality of this, but I’d highly recommend Chivas USA figuring out a way to work that into their current logo perhaps in place of the Guadalajara seal they currently use.
