Arguably the first WWE foray into “reality television” (arguably, because all of professional wrestling is arguably reality television) was Tough Enough, a competition show to find a pair of new WWE Superstars. The latest version of that show will premiere on Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET on the USA Network. There is also an official Tough Enough app for smart phones and a website where you can learn more about the show.
WWE ‘Tough Enough’ season premiere: Time, TV schedule and how to watch
The beloved reality show makes its return on Tuesday night.

This current season will pit 13 contestants (seven men and six women) against each other in challenges and competitions to determine who has what it takes to be WWE Superstars. The latest iteration of the show will be hosted by Chris Jericho and will feature a judging panel made up of Hulk Hogan, Daniel Bryan and Paige. The trainers for the show are Booker T, Lita and Billy Gunn.
The current cast was whittled down from 40 finalists in a spectacular hour-long selection special that aired on the WWE Network. You can learn more about the current cast here. Before the show even starts, we’ll definitely be rooting for “Z.Z.,” the alligator wrestler who took his first airplane flight to be part of the selection special.
The original Tough Enough debuted on MTV way back in 2001. The most recent iteration aired on USA in 2011. The Miz, Ryback, John Morrison and Cameron were all part of Tough Enough at one time, so it has produced actual stars and champions.
