Kane celebrated his 18th Survivor Series appearance with a pre-show win over Luke Harper, rising above his Wyatt Family rival despite spending much of the match on the back foot. It should have come as no surprise, with the Big Red Machine proving that despite how long his career has gone, he is still a force to be reckoned with.
Survivor Series 2016 results: Resilient Kane triumphs over Luke Harper
Working his 18th Survivor Series, Kane got a big win over a key member of the Wyatt Family in the pre-show.

The match started with Harper in complete control, coming out completely on his own with no other members of the Wyatt Family present. Despite having no backup, Harper used his surprising athleticism to keep Kane completely off-balance, employing moves you simply don’t expect from such a big man, including a huge dive through the ropes that sent Kane crashing into the barricade.
Kane tried to slow Harper down with his power game and did a solid job of it for a short time, but a series of sharp kicks followed by a big spinning sidewalk slam looked like they had Kane set up to take the loss. Harper set him up for the discus clothesline he uses to put people away, but Kane popped back up with a huge chokeslam to put Harper away.
For almost 20 years you’ve never been able to count Kane out in any given match, and he showed that again Sunday night. It was a tough loss for Harper, and will almost certainly see the feud that’s been brewing between Bray Wyatt’s followers and Kane rise to a new level over the next few weeks.
