Survivor Series 2016 results: Team ‘Raw’ wins tag team elimination match
After a lightning-fast pace to the tag team elimination match, Cesaro and Sheamus won it for Raw as the Sole Survivors.

The match had two great teams, with long-reigning tag champions the New Day captaining a Raw side that included Enzo Amore and Big Cass, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, the Shining Stars, and the tempestuous pairing of Sheamus and Cesaro. Smackdown was lead by their champions — the unlikely team of Heath Slater and Rhyno — and supported by American Alpha, the Usos, the Hype Bros, and Breezango.
The match started with Fandango in the ring throwing out tickets for fashion violations to the Raw side of the ring — but his attempt to enforce his authority was short-circuited when Big E and Kofi Kingston summoned him to the Midnight Hour for a quick elimination, leaving Fandango’s partner Tyler Breeze screaming in shock.
The Raw celebrations were cut short when a massive superkick from Jey Uso caught Kofi flush on the chin. The shock of the impact caught the Raw team so off guard that no one was able to get into the ring to break up the pinfall, and the Raw tag champions were eliminated in quick fashion.
That fast pace dominated the rest of the match, with the Club stopping a burst of momentum from Mojo Rawley cold before destroying his Hype Bros tag team partner Zack Ryder with a Magic Killer. Shining Stars got into the match with a good run against American Alpha member Chad Gable, but when Jason Jordan tagged in, the pair made short work of the Puerto Rican brothers. The Club smashed American Alpha down quickly with another Magic Killer to send them to the showers, but a moment of confusion gave Rhyno the opening he needed to hit Gallows with a gore spear to even things back up.
That brought Enzo Amore and Big Cass into the match, and a quick Boomshakalaka splash sent the Smackdown champs to the back, but they couldn’t hold up against the angered Uso brothers, with a superkick and a Frog Splash knocking them out in short order.
That set up a slugfest of a finish between the Usos and the unlikely and volatile team of Sheamus and Cesaro. Despite some apparent miscommunication between the Raw pair, they were eventually able to out-muscle the Usos. It took two tries, but Cesaro locked in the Sharpshooter on Jimmy Uso, and Sheamus cleared out Jey with a big Brogue Kick to keep him from breaking it up. One tapout later, and Cesaro and Sheamus were celebrating a second Team Raw win in their own unique way.
