Kalisto put up a great fight against The Brian Kendrick in his Cruiserweight Championship match at Survivor Series, but Baron Corbin had other ideas. Corbin ran in for the disqualification finish, leading to Kendrick retaining his belt in the cruiserweight division to stay on RAW.
Survivor Series 2016 results: Brian Kendrick retains Cruiserweight title after Baron Corbin run-in
Baron Corbin ruined Kalisto’s night by causing a DQ in the Cruiserweight title match.

There was no feeling-out process, with Kalisto immediately dropping Kendrick with a hurricanrana and suicide dive to the outside. However, Kendrick got the momentum back with a snap suplex, getting an early two-count. The two men traded a series of countering roll-ups for nearfalls.
Kalisto got another nearfall with a head-scissors takedown and corner dropkick, but Kendrick drove his head into the turnbuckle and crushed his body between the ring apron and steel stairs. Kendrick got Kalisto back in the ring and worked him over with some methodical offense, including multiple headlocks.
Ultimately, Kalisto recovered and made his comeback, hitting an impressive standing Spanish Fly from the ring apron to the floor. He hit another dive to the outside and rolled Kendrick back into the ring. Both men climbed to the ropes and fought each other, before Kendrick threw down Kalisto and locked him into the Captain’s Hook. Kalisto had a long struggle in the hold before eventually reaching the ropes to break it.
There was more intense back-and-forth action, with both men throwing everything they had. Kalisto hit Salida del Sol, but Kendrick got his foot on the rope. The match ended suddenly when Baron Corbin (who is decidedly not a cruiserweight) ran in and attacked Kalisto for the DQ.
