The New Day was one of the most popular acts at WrestleMania 32, but the power of positivity wasn’t enough for them to overcome the League of Nations. Sheamus nailed Xavier Woods with the Brogue Kick for the pin.
WrestleMania 32 results: New Day falls to the League of Nations
The power of positivity couldn’t help the New Day this time.

This match had kind of a weird journey. First it was for the tag team titles, and then it was advertised as a 4-on-3 handicap match, teasing fans with a surprise ally for the New Day. Eventually it turned into a standard 6-man match, with King Barrett out on ringside.
The New Day started things off on the perfect note, coming out of a giant-sized box of Booty-O’s and dressing up like Super Saiyans.
New Day took control of the match early with the Unicorn Stampede on Sheamus in the corner, accompanied by Xavier Woods’ trusty trombone Francesca II. Sheamus ended the fun and tagged in Rusev, who went to work on Woods.
Alberto Del Rio tagged in for Rusev and dominated Woods for a bit, not letting him tag out of the match. He hit a running engizuri on Woods and tagged in Sheamus, ensuring that the beating would continue. Poor Woods kept getting dominated, getting no space to make a tag. He finally found enough energy and time to tag in Kofi Kingston, who ran wild on the League of Nations.
Kingston went for Trouble in Paradise on Sheamus, but Sheamus caught him, held him high and Rusev kicked Kingston in the head, setting up a two-count. Big E didn’t get to tag in but hit big suplexes on the League, culminating in a spot where he speared all three men through the ropes.
With Woods and Sheamus now the legal men, Woods got a close two-count on Sheamus before Del Rio hit him with a backstabber behind the ref’s back. Del Rio then took out Kingston with a double-foot stomp on the apron, which looked just brutal. Barrett -- not even in the match -- nailed Woods with a Bullhammer and Sheamus hit the Brogue Kick to get the win for his team.
The League’s celebration was short-lived, however. Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin all came out and put the boots to the League, with all the legends getting their finishers in.
