Here is all you need to know about the New Day, who are now officially members of the RAW roster thanks to Tuesday’s WWE brand split draft.
‘RAW’ drafts all of New Day to Monday nights

The New Day is the best thing in WWE — no question
Sometimes something beautiful can sprout from unkempt ground. That’s the lesson New Day taught us. Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were all wonderful performers in their own right, but haplessly lost on WWE’s mid-card without a clear purpose or direction — until they were put together. At first their stable was a pseudo Gospel gimmick that had no traction, but over time the three were given the freedom to get weirder, and weirder, and weirder.
Fast forward to today and you have three guys who routinely share the Tag Team Championships and field a different duo whenever they feel like it. Woods routinely plays them to the ring on a trombone (poorly) and a significant portion of Monday Night Raw was dedicated to The New Day building a time machine out of a refrigerator box.
Their presence is a reminder that sports entertainment is nothing without that “entertainment” part, and that all the snarling, big talk, and violence needs to be juxtaposed by three dudes who legitimately love each other and have the best chemistry of any faction in the company.
They’re also really into unicorns.
Xavier Woods LOVES video games
When he’s not in the ring, Woods manages his own YouTube channel “UpUpDownDown,” which is basically him playing video games against other WWE superstars. You haven’t lived until you’ve seen Woods school Seth Rollins at Madden.
The best thing The New Day has done
It’s hard to isolate just one moment, but the 2016 Royal Rumble was a definite high point. Kingston was thrown over the top rope during the rumble, only to be caught and paraded around ringside on the shoulders of his other New Day members so he wouldn’t touch the floor. If this wasn’t enough they took a fan’s soda and had some mid-match refreshment.
