RAW drafts WWE legend Chris Jericho

Here is all you need to know about Chris Jericho, who is now officially a member of the RAW roster thanks to Tuesday’s WWE brand split draft.

When Chris Jericho returned to WWE to kick off his latest run, he was a good guy. An annoying Cool Dad try-hard who many felt was damaging an already Hall of Fame-worthy career, but a good guy nonetheless. Eventually, that changed, with Jericho returning to the character work that made him a legend and fan favorite in the first place: he’s now doing some of the greatest heeling of his long career, to the point where even his tame and oft-used insult of “you stupid idiot” is hilarious because of how he deploys it.

Jericho wrestled in WCW, in ECW, in Japan, in WWE when it was still the WWF ... he’s wrestled for a long time, and in many places. In that time, he’s won a whole bunch of championships. Jericho was the first Undisputed WWF Champion when they purchased WCW and the then-WWF united their titles into one championship. He’s the all-time leader with nine Intercontinental title reigns. He’s a seven-time tag champ, a Hardcore champ, a European champion ... the list goes on. And since he’s a heel, he’ll absolutely tell you about all the times he’s won championships when it’s relevant to the story at hand.

Jericho has a band. That’s just one of the reasons you’ll see him wearing a vest with no shirt, but he isn’t bare-chested -- not with the expensive scarves he favors. That’s just, like, what musicians do. The band is Fozzy, and yes, that’s a play on Ozzy.
