One of the best tag teams in WWE history is struggling, as yet another miscue cost the Dudley Boys their match against Sami Zayn and Neville in the SummerSlam 2016 kickoff show.
Sami Zayn and Neville down the Dudley Boys in SummerSlam kickoff show
It feels like an implosion is coming for one of WWE’s most decorated tag teams in history.

Sami and Neville took control early, setting aside their old rivalry over the NXT title to execute some decidedly creative offense:

The Dudleys were able to work over Zayn for awhile, but they lost control when an attempt to hit their 3-D finisher on Neville ended with Bubba Ray clocking D-Von with a clothesline, opening a window for Sami to hit his Helluva Kick on Bubba Ray, closely followed by Neville’s high-flying Red Arrow to pick up the pinfall win.
What we learned: Sami and Neville probably won’t become a formal tag team, but watching them work together like that was a lot of fun, especially after the incredible rivalry they had in NXT. For the Dudleys, though, it feels like something bad is coming; this is the third match in the last few weeks that has gone down as a loss because Bubba Ray and D-Von keep getting in each other’s way. This has all the makings of a big breakdown between the pair, so keep a close eye on them on Raw on Monday.
