Extreme Rules 2017 live stream: Time, TV schedule, matches, and how to watch online

The results of Extreme Rules could have long-reaching implications on WWE.

Whenever WWE Extreme Rules comes around, it’s always a hard-hitting, high-impact night of wrestling, and this year’s Raw-exclusive pay-per-view event should be no exception. And with a Fatal Five Way match to determine the No. 1 contender to the WWE Universal Championship, plus the Hardy Boyz, Team Extreme themselves in action, this year’s edition of Extreme Rules promises to be as exciting as ever.

The headline match is that Fatal Five Way, a match to determine who will face Brock Lesnar next month for the WWE Universal Championship. One former Universal champion in Finn Balor and three former WWE Championship title holders in Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins will be in the ring, along with Samoa Joe, who has made a big impact on the roster since arriving in WWE after the Royal Rumble.

It’s going to be a high-action match fought under Extreme Rules stipulations — which means that absolutely anything goes. With so much on the line, that means that these five top-shelf Superstars will be putting everything they have into this match, making it an absolute must-watch.

Matt and Jeff Hardy will be in a Steel Cage match defending their WWE Raw Tag Team championships against Sheamus and Cesaro, a one-time pair of fan favorites who have taken on an angry and almost sadistic edge since their feud with Team Extreme began shortly after WrestleMania 33. It’s a match that promises to be incredibly physical and brutal, and a match that could leave the men inside that cage broken — in more ways than one.

Three other titles will be on the line, with Dean Ambrose defending the Intercontinental Championship against The Miz, with the added stipulation that if Ambrose is disqualified, he will lose his title. Alexa Bliss will also be defending her WWE Raw Women’s Championship against Bayley with a kendo stick up for grabs, hoping to add injury to the running series of insults and harassment Alexa has thrown Bayley’s way in recent weeks.

The WWE Cruiserweight Championship will also be on the line, with Austin Aries hoping that third time is the charm as he again tries to dethrone the self-styled King of the Cruiserweights, Neville. It will be a submission match, with Aries’ Last Chancery and Neville’s Rings of Saturn submission holds the deciding factor in who walks away with the title. Two other cruiserweights will be in action as well, working alongside two of the women of WWE Raw as Sasha Banks joins Rich Swann to take on Noam Dar and Alicia Fox in an mixed tag team match.

WWE Extreme Rules is going to be an exciting, hard-hitting night, and one that could have a lot of impact on the coming months in the WWE. Don’t take your eyes off the screen for a second, because on a night like this, you can miss a whole lot in a short time.
