This morning I was flipping through an issue of the Sporting News from two weeks ago for the sole purpose of mocking our experts’ picks through the 20/20 vision of hindsight. While still laughing at the fact that they both picked Hawaii, I stumbled across something that caught my attention: We could be looking at a split title between LSU and Georgia.

According to Matt Hayes, “It could translate to a split national title if LSU wins ugly, Oklahoma loses or wins an ugly game and the Dawgs rout Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl.” Two of those three stipulations have more than come true.
So, if LSU “wins ugly” will the BCS trophy be split up amongst two SEC schools? I think it’s a possible conclusion. Either way, it’s one we should probably root for. Anything to further humiliate the BCS system is a good thing. Anarchy, brahs. Anarchy.↵
Are We Headed for a Split National Title?
