Kentucky Hoops Woes Put Into Sweet Song

By Spencer Hall

Billy Gillespie is 6-6 and struggling to get Kentucky in something resembling shape going into conference play, something that has to be noted as one of the early surprises of the season. The early mediocrity has Kentucky fans so befuddled they’re resorting to song:
Something’s got to change in Rupp Arena,
Cause the honeymoon is done for Billy G,
I’m pretty sure I’ve never ever seen a,
Team that’s quite as bad in Kentucky’s history,
Do we lack the skill or are we lazy,
For those who say my questioning’s a sin,
Don’t tell me that I’m just a fan gone crazy,
Cause I still love the Wildcats, it’s just that I expect to win,
The song comes from Ryan Parker, the self-appointed Official Sports Troubadour of the Internet. His previous titles include “Can Tuna Save the Dolphins?”, “Michigan Steals WVU Coaches,” and “Laker for Life,” and seem to appear on an almost weekly basis, meaning you can expect “Hawaii, We’re So Sorry About Your Quarterback Being Broken In Half On National Television” sometime around Tuesday.
