When faced with the prospect of losing the rest of his senior season due to a dislocated finger, Mesa State College lineman Trevor Wikre was faced with a choice: go ahead with the surgery and end your college career, or amputate the finger so you can play on Saturday. No-brainer.

↵Actually, it doesn’t even seem like Wikre was presented with an option: he decided to put amputation on the table. I’m glad the docs complied with his macho request, lest Trevor had to take matters into his own hands. And while I’m sure Wikre will never in a million years regret this decision, he does deserves our nods of manly appreciation. Well done, sir. Your testosterone knows no bounds.
