I Wonder Who Cubs Fans Will Blame For ‘08

↵Kosuke Fukudome has been exposed as persona non grata in Chicago high schools and on Lou Piniella’s score sheet. But fans are feeling particularly angry about Fukudome’s performance as the Cubs face a swift exit tonight, so the hate is spreading fast. via FanHouse, Fukudome was the subject of a joke at O’Hare:↵↵⇥Passengers at O’Hare Airport were surprised to hear [Fukudome’s] name being paged over the public address system in Terminal B on Friday morning. But it turned out that it was all a joke.

You have been traded for a player to be named later.” Some of the passengers waiting for flights laughed, while others cringed.↵↵Oof. It would have been excellent if Fukudome had been in the terminal Friday morning just to capture his reaction. The best “trade” joke in recent times can be credited to the Phoenix Suns, who convinced Leandro Barbosa he’d been traded to the pre-D’Antoni Knicks last season. They’re lucky he didn’t have a heart attack while jumping off a bridge, looping a belt around his neck and screaming in agony.↵
