Palin Should Prepare to Hear Boo’s in Philly

If you’re looking for a reason to watch some hockey on a Saturday that will be dominated by outstanding college football match-ups, the Flyers have got one for you. Sarah Palin will be dropping the puck for the team’s season opener:↵↵⇥“Because of the tremendous amount of publicity she has brought to our sport, we invited the most popular hockey mom in North America to our home opener to help us get our season started,” said Comcast-Spectacor Chairman Ed Snider who founded the Flyers in 1967. “We are very excited she has accepted our offer and we are very proud of the publicity she is generating for hockey moms and the sport of hockey.”↵↵Now here’s why you should watch, if you can: This should be a total train wreck. Obama is winning the state of Pennsylvania by somewhere around 13 points currently, and that number is likely higher within an urban setting, such as Philadelphia. So, combine a pro-democrat crowd with Philly’s penchant for boo’ing (and worse), and you’ve got the formula for an ice cold reception for Palin. Horrible pun certainly intended. ↵↵Her next sports stop should most definitely be a foray into basketball, throwing up the opening tip in Dallas, seeing as she’s been just as good for Mavericks as she has for hockey moms. ↵
