Tuba Players Need Cleats, Too

Florida State University has a massive, massive band: usually over 400 members strong and capable of blowing your wig off at a distance of a 100 feet. It takes a lot of coordination just to get them all on the field at the same time, much less to keep them in formation and moving at the right speed.↵

↵The field conditions at Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday made this more difficult than usual when heavy rains hit Tallahassee, affecting both the footing of players during the game and the real athletes of the day, the Florida State tuba section, who fell down and went boom in a manner made for internet fame.↵

Okay, go ahead and laugh, and add Tuba Players Falling Down to the list of shows FOX should be putting into production right now in addition to our favorite hypothetical pilot show, People on Fire. The tuba players also recovered in time to play their parts, something that cannot be said of FSU’s defense, which allowed 502 yards and 45 points to Florida’s offense, which probably could have scored 30 wearing tubas themselves.↵
