Everything Stephen A. Smith Coaches Is Important

Yup, that was one of Stephen A. Smith’s many rants at the refs during this year’s Celebrity All-Star Game. Aside from thinking this might be the wrong season to insinuate you can buy the refs (Tim Donaghy, anyone?), he was just out and out obnoxious with a mic that was open for about half of the game. They ended up giving Jon Barry a voodoo doll to try and silence the loudmouth. It did not work. Can’t we get more shots of Alyssa Milano and Gabrielle Union with less Stephen A.? Also, SAS just pulled a Chris Webber and called a timeout he didn’t have, earning a technical.

Carver (Seth Gilliam) from The Wire can’t contain the drug trade in Baltimore and he had even more trouble trying to guard Floyd Mayweather.
Terrell Owens has more than a little game. He entered the game in the second quarter when New Orleans was getting buried by the Hornets (yes, the two teams were “New Orleans†and “The Hornetsâ€). It was funny to watch him come in, but it’s clear he was way too good to be in this one. He even dunked.

Ric Bucher has no ethics as a commissioner. He tried to push a trade through dealing Gilliam for Deion Sanders to a team that already had T.O. and Percy Miller (aka Master P), who once tried out for the Raptors. And one last note on Bucher: Please, Ric, less bronzer next time. Looking like an Oompa Loompa.

Let’s also revisit Master P, who built, according to the broadcast, the “No Limit Records empire.†He also won a Grammy. Now he’s just kind of overweight and cherry-picking in a Celebrity All-Star Game. And speaking of music, for a guy with a woman (La La Vazquez) who hosted music television, Carmelo Anthony has almost no rhythm.
Prime Time gets drilled on the final play, but no call. So New Orleans rallies with its ringer to win 51-50.
