Dunk Contest Recap: Finals

By Bethlehem Shoals
Some notes on the dunk contest, roughly as it happened.
-I will forever associate Dwight Howard and Jim Croce in my head. There was nothing Soulja Boy about that.

-That Dwight Howard dunk was really unspeakable. Though I’m kind of surprised no one’s tried that before.
-Say what you will about Gerald Green’s dismal career, that man can dunk. He’s no Nate Robinson pretender. Which reminds me: How come Green can score, and rebound a little, but can’t get the Wolves to take a chance on him with some minutes.
-Gerald Green still loves Boston? Or does he strictly go for self: Green=Green.
-That last Howard dunk was a letdown. I was hoping he’d fly through the air with a kid, or Jameer Nelson, and have him dunk on the hoop.
-Magic tells us, as he does every year, that “it’s back.” I suddenly feel very sad for Gerald Green. This is it for him.
-I would highly recommend moving to the West Coast, because this thing doesn’t end at midnight out here.
