Chandler Throws Down a Massive ‘Wow-Wee’ Jam

By Bethlehem Shoals
Not to revisit the past’s pain, but you all remember All-Star Weekend? Dwight Howard shocked the world with what may or may not have been a dunk; subsequently, Howard had an intriguing explanation (or excuse) for his near-miss, semi-dunk, ferocious throw-in, whatever you want to call it.
A refresher: “I wanted it to have the effect that it’s impossible what I did, so that’s why I threw it in like that.” Clever whether he actually thought this way, or if he came up with it after the fact. But if you really want to see a dunk that deserves that description, click below:

That’s when brilliance on the edge of disaster really comes through. I don’t think a single person watching that game expected Chandler to take off from there, or, when he did, was sure he’d connect with the the rim. But it’s amazing what a little length, and a desire to out-Amare Amare, will do for a player.
(Editor’s Note: Jamal Crawford had a “wow-wee” dunk of his own last night, but for very, very different reasons.)↵
