YouTubery: Kermit, NBA Stars Have ‘Happy Feet’

Long before David Stern decided to go after Republicans and China, the league pursued a more simple marketing plan: Hook ‘em young. Hence Space Jam, and spots like this one, in which Kermit the Frog shows us how NBA players sometimes flail like puppets. Which, in my humble opinion, would be like trying to attract women and gay men to the game by having Dwight Howard oil up and reenact “How Does It Feel” during a timeout. Any child tuning in for Muppets-like moments would’ve been sorely disappointed by a full 2.5 hours of pro ball.
Why oh why couldn’t we have gotten a Jim Henson joint during this phase of his career:
