John Daly Is a Drunk! Ha?

Ha-ha, that John Daly! He’s an alcoholic! An admitted, fall-down, smashed-up, periodically broke drunk with a chemical dependency problem. Funny? Funny! Funny?

If the punctuation doesn’t make this clear, I’m indecisive on exactly whether or not the boozy Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride that is Daly’s life is funny, tragic, or an intoxicating (groan) mix of the two. Most of the time, I find it hilarious. (Not death metal puppy funny, but still.
Butch Harmon, Tiger’s former swing coach and golf svengali, begs to differ.

Harmon’s given up working with Daly for these reasons and more. On the way out Daly offered to sign Harmon’s butt, as he did for a female fan last weekend at the “Hooters’ Owl’s Nest” hospitality tent at the PODS Championship. We kid! Oh, and John Daly has a serious, possibly life-threatening drinking problem! Ha! Ha?
(We’re not kidding about that one. It will kill him, and he seems a bit too comfortable with the whole arrangement. Smiles, everyone! It’s funny guy John Daly!)
