Raftery Is No Gus Johnson, But He’ll Do

Biggest downside of living in North Carolina: They refuse to switch from the UNC game to a closer contest, even when UNC is up 20 FREAKING POINTS with four minutes left. (Actually, the biggest downside of N.C. is no 7-11s. I mean, seriously, how am I to live without Slurpees? What am I supposed to mix my vodka with?)
So, needless to say, I missed the vast majority of last night’s WVU-Xavier game. Luckily, Brian Powell put together a highlight video of Bill Raftery’s brightest moments:

“Ecstasy!”
Ah, but what Brian didn’t include in that video was the one Raftery call I actually witnessed: His “big time onions!” line when Joe Alexander hit an and-one at the end of regulation (1:15 mark):
