Do NOT Open the ‘Season Recaps’ Folder

By Spencer Hall
Class, we at the Sporting Blog present two case studies for sports management this week ... specifically, how NOT to do it.
1. Miami Sports Information Director for Football Rick Korch complained that his computer was running slowly, and called IT to take a look at it. If you use a friend’s computer and he has a file called “Season Recaps,” do yourself a favor and DO NOT OPEN IT.
Under a folder titled “Season Recaps,” university technicians found other images of children engaged in sexual conduct, According to police, one child was estimated to be between 6 and 8 years old.
Korch has been fired and is under criminal investigation. And yes, your week was awesome, by the way, now that you think of it.

2. Patty Paniagua and Katrina Johnson, student-athletes at Western Arizona, were arrested in a hellacious catfight (reenactment seen above) at a residence hall on Monday evening. The cause? One of them was allegedly having an affair with the assistant coach of Western’s football team, David Slaughter.
Slaughter immediately offered his resignation after the fracas, and on the whole the AWC administration took a measured view of things:
“She’s an outstanding young lady and just made a mistake, just like Slaughter. He was a great guy and a big asset around here who just made a mistake. He’s not the first guy to make a mistake with women, but that’s just something we cannot tolerate around here.”
Dames! They’ll get you every time, brother.
