Your Mother Did Not Want You to Ski For a Reason

Sometimes, you get to choose when your career ends, and sometimes your career decides when to end all on its own. If you get a choice between the two, opt for the first: Matthias Lanzinger’s professional skiing career ended the second way in Norway on Sunday, and walking away from your chosen sport looks like the only way to go after viewing the video below.

Lanzinger had the lower leg amputated later at an Oslo hospital after doctors determined blood flow had been irreparably damaged in the injured leg.
