Hey Look, Red Sox-Yankees Isn’t the Only Rivalry Where Stupid Stuff Happens

Well, this seems like a smart move: Justin Boren, an offensive lineman, is leaving Michigan and his full-ride scholarship behind and transferring to -- you guessed it -- THE Ohio State University. And why, you ask? Well, I’m still a bit confused on that myself:↵↵⇥The sophomore offensive lineman left the Michigan program last month, saying its “family values have eroded” under new coach Rich Rodriguez.↵↵Interesting. This Boren kid must really miss whatever family atmosphere Lloyd Carr had in place seeing as he’s going to OSU, where he’ll be assured a worse education for a lot more money. Big Ten rules prohibit the Buckeyes from giving him a scholarship. Plus, his dad played football at Michigan for Bo Schembechler, meaning Boren can probably forget about moving back home after graduation.↵↵If nothing else, at least Boren will get to experience something no other man has since World War II: The thrill of having played on both sides of the most overhyped football game of the season. According to the Columbus Dispatch, the last time any football player went from Michigan to OSU, or vice versa, was in the 1940s. ↵
