Our Long National Nightmare Is Over: Spygate Comes to an End. Maybe.

↵
↵Spygate -- the NFL scandal that has totally rocked a sporting nation to its very core with a name that means nothing whatsoever -- has mercifully come to an end. Finally:↵↵⇥When asked if he considers Spygate to be closed, Goodell responded, “I don’t know where else I would turn. I don’t anticipate (anything further).”↵↵Alright, nothing further on the horizon. Terrific! Now what did we learn today from Roger Goodell’s 195-minute meeting(!) with former Pats video assistant Matt Walsh? The Pats taped coaching signals from several games, but there was nothing from Super Bowl 36 vs. the Rams. Earth shattering stuff, to be certain. So, now we can all move on.
↵
↵Wait, Walsh still has to meet with attention-craving, crotchety Senator Arlen Specter? Oh, just great:↵↵⇥Walsh is expected to meet with Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pennsylvania), who has been critical of how the NFL has handled the investigation into the Patriots’ videotaping controversy.↵↵So, in other words, this whole thing is done in the eyes of the NFL, but Specter shall take the glory from this battlefield! Or at least the last word.↵
