FirstCuts: New iPhone Has Slick MLB Application

↵Although I haven’t owned anything Apple for a few years, I’m always captivated when turtle-necked Steve Jobs takes the stage and announces the latest pretty gadget.↵↵Yesterday at the Worldwide Developers Conference, Jobs announced the second generation of the iPhone and all the goodies that come along with it. Many of them have nothing to do with sports, but one you’ll love if you’re a baseball fan is the MLB application called At-Bat.↵

↵↵The scoreboard, as you can see in the photo on the right, is slick and gives you just what you want. Live box scores? Check. Live scoreboard? Check. But wait, there’s more! Yes, you’ll even have video highlights available shortly after a play happens.↵

↵↵For a full demo of how the MLB At-Bat application functions, check out the video from CNET.↵
