Morgan, Miller Will Talk About Anything So Long as It’s Not What’s Happening on the Field

There were four types of people watching the Dodgers-Cubs game on ESPN Sunday night: Dodgers fans, Cubs fans, people who enjoy pain, and AA’s Brian Powell, because he knew that at some point Joe Morgan would bring up his fishing trip with Matt Franco, which would inevitably death roll into some conversation about meeting Kurt Russell:↵

↵I have no doubt that a man like Joe Morgan, who thinks statistics are meaningless, truly believes there is a definitive answer to, “Which guy hit the hardest line drives most consistently?” Sadly, that’s not actually a trivia question. A real trivia question, for example, would be, “The name of the film in which Kurt Russell played Snake Plissken was A) Escape from New York, B) Escape from L.A.?” ↵
