Monster Cow to Invade Braves Home Field

↵
↵See that enormous cow above, getting towed by an 18-wheeler. Yeah, that monstrosity is the newest ballpark ornament in the Braves home, Tuner Field. Why, other than insane ad dollars, would the Braves want a 40-foot, 15,000-pound cow standing behind left field? Because people love cows, duh:↵↵⇥“People have a fondness for the cows,” [Atlanta area marketing director for Chick-fil-A Robin Ogle] said. “Anytime we can make a cow bigger and funnier, people love it. They respond to it.”↵⇥↵⇥The Braves liked the idea because the cow enhances the fan experience, said Derek Schiller, executive vice president of sales and marketing for the Atlanta Braves.↵⇥
↵↵
↵The experience-enhancing heifer will also do the tomahawk chop (which is part of a racially questionable chant*, but we’ve already touched on race enough today), sport a Braves hat and have a sign on it, which reads: “Du Tha Chop. Eat Tha Chikin.” ↵↵The cow is being transported from New Orleans -- where it was constructed by a company that specializes in those big, weird Mardi Gras floats -- to Atlanta this weekend. It will make its grand debut on June 20th. ↵

↵*... Says the Redskins fan.↵
