The Rays fans are sooo fired up about their first place team that they a) almost sold out game one of the team’s biggest series, um, ever last night, b) they have an (un)official superfan. Meet the Cowbell Kid, who makes up with enthusiasm what he lacks in grammar (warning: LOUD NOISES):↵
Well, Lookie There: Rays Have a Fan or Three
↵
↵Yes, the “Rays” are America’s “new” team because they have so many “fans” who “pack” Tropicana Field with an average of 20,000 “diehards” at each “home” game. ↵
↵
↵But who am I to make fun of an adolescent fan base? I root for the Nationals. (That would be the Major League Baseball team based in D.C., FYI. There are people here in North Carolina that honestly have no clue who the Nationals are.)
