Chris Cooley Is Blogger’s Ally in Developing Video War Against the Redskins

Okay, so that headline might be overstating things, but there is a bit of a tiff, if you will, developing between D.C. Sports Bog’s Dan Steinberg and the ‘Skins. ↵
↵
↵On Tuesday, Dan took video at Redskins Park during practice of crazed fans. The video featured no players, coaches or anything else remotely associated with the Redskins, other than the fact that the fans were wearing burgundy and gold colors. As Dan pointed out, it could have been shot in the parking lot at Costco. Dan posted the video on the Bog and was later forced to remove it. Here is part of the explanation:↵↵⇥This is 2008, and this is the Redskins, and videos of fans screaming at football practice are exclusively the property of the Redskins. I mean, this isn’t that hard a policy to understand: no video clips from Redskins Park, featuring anything of burgundy and gold substance, shall be posted. None. Nada. Zip. Zorn. ↵⇥↵⇥Unless, of course, we’re talking about the Web sites of Comcast SportsNet. Or WRC. Or WUSA. Or Chris Cooley. Or Fox 5, which posted an online video of THE EXACT SAME FAN! Then it’s fine. ↵⇥

↵↵So, to help get around the rules and regulations of Dan Snyder and his evil cronies, Dan, being the best newspaper blogger on earth, enlisted the help of Chris Cooley, the best athlete blogger on earth. They couldn’t record an interview at Redskins Park, even if it was in the parking lot, or the bathroom, or wherever, so Cooley invited Dan to his mom’s house to talk (Update: Our super advanced blog won’t allow me to embed the video, so click on it to watch it on the Bog while I go bang my head against the wall.):

↵
↵“I’m gonna have him sign it and put it on eBay.” God, Chris Cooley is the freakin’ coolest football player of all-time, says the biased die-hard Redskins fan.↵
