File this under wild speculation, but will Michael Beasley wear the Jumpman and Derrick Rose stick with the three stripes? If the debuts of Rose and Beasley in the Orlando Pro Summer League are any indication, Beasley could be wearing Jordan Brand while Rose will wear adidas.↵
FirstCuts: Rose, Beasley Picking Shoe Brands?
↵
↵
↵↵It has been written by CNBC’s Darren Rovell, among others, that the shoe money just isn’t there for this season’s top draft picks. Yes, O.J. Mayo inked a four-year deal with Nike, but other than that, it has been quiet.↵
↵
↵For Jordan Brand, which has been extremely selective and limited with who they bring in to the fold, to potentially add Beasley, would be huge. Rose landing with adidas would be logical to some, considering he wore the three stripes while playing for Memphis. Rose wore the adidas TS Pro Model against the Heat while Beasley rocked the Black/Stealth colorway of the Jordan XX3. ↵
↵↵This isn’t the first time Beasley has been spotted with Jordans. He wore them frequently at Kansas State, and in his online digital series called “The Rookie” on ESPN.com, he was seen working out in Jordan XIII (while wearing a Converse shirt).↵
↵↵The Rose stuff is even more uncertain, because although he wore adidas today and at Memphis, he’s been spotted in Nike at Bulls photo shoots and in Converse at a White Sox game when he threw out the first pitch.↵
↵↵In other words, who knows. ↵
