More Accusations of Chinese Cheating

â†µThose Saturday suggestions that secret Chinese â†µswimmers avoided drug tests over the past year turned out â†µto be for naught: the Chinese women’s relay team in â†µspecific question finished fourth and out of the medals in â†µSunday morning’s final. But the accusations have not â†µended.

â†µVia Deadspin, infamous U.S. â†µgymnastics coach Bela Karolyi not only thinks China is â†µusing girls under the minimum age (16) to win the gold, he â†µasserts the cheating is so â†µblatant as to be insulting.â†µâ†µâ‡¥“They are using half-people,” Karolyi said. â†µâ‡¥“One of the biggest frustrations is, what arrogance. These â†µâ‡¥people think we are stupid.

â†µâ‡¥“We are in the business of gymnastics and we know what a â†µâ‡¥kid of 14 or 15 or 16 looks like. You don’t have to be a â†µâ‡¥gymnastics coach to know what they look like at â†µâ‡¥16.”â†µâ†µChris Hansen has proven time and again you really don’t â†µhave to be a gymnastics coach to know what they look like â†µat 16. Isn’t there any easy solution, though? Can’t you â†µjust cut off their ankle and count the rings? Or at least â†µremove the arbitrary age limits?â†µ
